About

Hello! I am a theoretical physicist, working at Sandia National Laboratories. My current area of research is broadly quantum information and quantum computation, with an emphasis on near-term realizations and applications.

I have dual degrees in Physics and Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Together with my thesis advisor Professor Sudip Chakravarty, I focused on several condensed matter theory problems, including the effects of disorder, topologically nontrivial superconductors, and high-temperature superconductivity. I recently moved on from a productive post-doc in the groups of Professor Edwin Barnes and Professor Sophia Economou at the Virginia Tech Physics Department, where I addressed questions surrounding quantum control of small quantum systems for the purposes of quantum computation and communication, quantum mechanical entanglement, and topologically nontrivial states of matter.

In my spare time you can find me hiking, bouldering, or contributing to the wonderful open source community. My public key is available here.
